100 Days of Summer Inspirations
Do you ever come across a mom that inspires you to take on more? I came across this post recently and felt inspired by all the ideas and effort I could pour in to my child over the summer. Truthfully, I felt part inspiration and part “who-has-the-energy?” Regardless, I’m in awe and felt like sharing.
Day 100- Beep, beep. Time to hop back on your bus, kids. Let’s make a school bus cake & celebrate our awesome summer.
Day 99- We are making homemade fudge popsicles and washing the car today.
Day 98- What a hoot! Let’s make owls and visit the zoo.
Day 97- It’s Netflix origami day.
Day 96- We’re going on a picnic. Pack up some Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad in individual jars & play at the park.
Day 95- Let’s eat the rainbow again & make some rainbow pops.
Day 94- It’s the world’s largest bubble-making day!
Day 93- Time to craft up cute tennis shoes in our favorite colors.
Day 92- Let’s make a hot air balloon together!
Day 91- Let’s make a pie together.
Day 90- Craft time with DIY bottle cap necklaces.
Day 89- Make a batch of cake batter ice cream. Yum.
Day 88- Let’s make strawberry milk.
Day 87- Time to bake some ninja cupcakes and work on our ninja moves.
Day 86- Argh! Time to make me patch.
Day 85- Take a road trip and document our journey together.
Day 84- Sip some limeade slushes.
Day 83- Time to make potato print t-shirts.
Day 82- Make & eat fresh fruit pops. Explore a new park.
Day 81- Make a box town together.
Day 79- Make chocolate wands and indulge in a Harry Potter movie.
Day 78- Have a shadow puppet night.
Day 77- Oink. Oink. Have a piggy pancake night.
Day 76- Read Bartholomew & the Oobleck and make a batch of Oobleck.
Day 75- Have friends over to run in the sprinklers and share an ice cream sandwich cake.
Day 74- Watch Star Wars and make Star Wars rings.
Day 73- Make newspaper bead necklaces.
Day 72- Make popper rockets for the Fourth of July.
Day 71- Learn how to finger knit.
Day 70- Make s’mores on a stick for an evening treat.
Day 69- Make paperweights that spell out your names.
Day 68- Homemade slushes and a trip to the library.
Day 67- Make robots out of our recycle bin items.
Day 65- Let’s go geocaching together.
Day 64- Make homemade superhero capes and fight crime.
Day 63- Paint mugs for our new teachers.
Day 62- Paint and modge podge rocks for your treasure box.
Day 61- Paint a treasure chest & fill it with outdoor treasures.
Day 60- It’s an at-home water park day today!
Day 59- Shake a rainstick if it is raining today.
Day 58- Marshmallow & toothpick fun. Finish with a little marshmallow fun on the campfire!
Day 57- Eat ice cream cones together.
Day 56- It is treasure hunting day!
Day 55- Take a walk and munch on breakfast cookies.
Day 54- Make pinwheels together.
Day 53- Create a summer journal together. Fill it with all the fun stories and things we are doing.
Day 51- Pop your way down the hopscotch lane & eat a bowl of popcorn.
Day 50- Make spaghetti & meatballs then watch, “Lady & the Tramp.”
Day 49- Make a paper bag kite and go fly it!
Day 47- Strawberry and mango popsicle treat and a trip to the park.
Day 46- Make personalized board game pieces & play with our new & improved characters.
Day 45- Make terrarium centerpieces for our table together.
Day 44- Homemade pizza & a Redbox flick.
Day 43- Play a little indoor or outdoor hopscotch.
Day 42- Make strawberry shortcake popsicles & watch a Strawberry Shortcake movie.
Day 41- Make a pretty veil and eat “wedding cake.”
Day 40- Make an indoor sand castle.
Day 39- Surprise! Breakfast in bed!
Day 37- Argh! Make treasure stones with my pirate friends.
Day 36- Play a few rounds of Angry Birds & then make angry birds from cardboard tubes.
Day 35- Work on the garden and plant potted banana bread in the kitchen. Make a surprise delivery to someone special!
Day 34- I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream. Make a batch of homemade ice cream.
Day 33- Make yarn ball decorations together.
Day 32- Corn syrup painting in the fresh sunshine.
Day 31- Heading to the sprinkler park and a lemon ice with popcorn for a fun treat.
Day 29- Write invisible ink notes to each other.
Day 28- Find an inventive way to say I love you to my kids today.
Day 27- Bake donuts and make a donut delivery to friends & neighbors.
Day 26- Print coloring pages of ourselves and color them.
Day 24- Send a homemade postcard to grandma & grandpa.
Day 23- Drink a DIY Wendy’s Frosty & watch a movie on Netflix.
Day 22- Make glow in the dark slime. Ewww….
Day 21- Sip blueberry iced teas by the pool.
Day 20- Bring treats to the firefighters.
Day 19- Let’s try sun-printing.
Day 18- It is a s’mores night.
Day 17- Make homemade jam together.
Day 16- Make homemade finger paints and then run through the sprinklers.
Day 15- Make ribbon rosette rings.
Day 14- Make homemade marshmallow shooters.
Day 13- Make a puppet theater.
Day 12- Make friendship bracelets with yarn scraps.
Day 11- Make strawberry lemonade smoothies and head to the park.
Day 10- Blueberry picking and eating day!
Day 8- Make sponge balls for fun water play outside.
Day 7- Enjoy a week’s worth of summer fun on $20 or less!
Day 6- Make a giant batch of homemade bubbles.
Day 5- Make homemade bagels in our bread machine for a breakfast treat.
Day 4- Indulge in homemade coke icees (and buy an ice cream maker for the summer season)
Day 3- Make & eat delicious watermelon waffles for a nod to the summer season!
Day 2- Do pizza night out on the grill with everyone’s favorite toppings.
Day 1- Ice cream sundae party with sea-salted caramel. Yum.
