Bay Area Kidfest at Mount Diablo High School
An engaging 3-day weekend of quality live entertainment on 4 stages; activities and sports for children; stimulating learning and exploration; exposing parents to new ideas and opportunities from over 100 arts & crafts and other exhibitors; showcasing community groups dedicated to families and children while celebrating the value and importance of families as a key part of a healthy community. All of the entertainment and activities are included in the low price of admission. Additionally, there are 15 rides (ferris wheel, pony rides, EuroBungy trampoline, Cap’n Hook Fun House, giant slide and more) and a delicious food court for additional charges.

Sunday, May 29
The Festival draws hundreds of thousands of people for two days of dancing Salsa, Samba, Reggae, Tango, Hip- Hop, Merengue, Calypso, Cha Cha Cha, Cumbia, and Mambo into the evening. Food vendors offer traditional delicacies, while others sell crafts native to the Carnaval countries of their heritage. Giant stages sparkle with continuous entertainment. San Francisco Carnaval Grand Parade is a unique, must see multi-cultural event that celebrates the traditions of many countries and cultures around the world. The floats are spectacular, the music is uplifting and the costumes are lavish. Beautifully designed floats depict rich multi-cultural themes, and feature musicians, dancers and other performers that excite and entertain the crowds.

The Sausalito Nursery School and the City of Sausalito are the very proud partners of the second Caledonia Street Spring Faire, a combination of the Spring Faire and the Caledonia Street Fair. This will be a historic event in our picturesque seaside town. This enchanting festival will bring together all the bay area communities celebrating spring, our children, our families, our neighbors and the renewal of our earth through Art, Music, Dance, Delectable Fare, and a Fun & Festive Children’s Area. With over 100 fine arts and crafts vendors, food and entertainment, this event is truly for the entire family. The Faire has a strong focus on music and dance performances with international flair on two stages of live entertainment. The show will go on rain or shine.

Volunteer Firemen’s BBQ at Slide Ranch
Live music, open air dancing, picnicking and freshly grilled chicken are the highlights of the annual Muir Beach Volunteer Firemen’s Barbecue at the Muir Beach picnic grounds on Muir Woods road. The Firemen’s Barbecue is a long-running celebration and fund-raiser for the Muir Beach Volunteer Fire Department.
Your minimum donation of $20 per car gets you a place to park, plus $10 worth of coupons to spend on a great barbecued chicken or vegetarian tamales dinner, a drink, T-shirt, or whatever.

Memorial Day Parade in Downtown Mill Valley

Mark your calendar for a day of celebration and events on Memorial Day. The day starts bright and early with the annual Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Volunteer Firefighters. The parade starts at 10:30 am in Old Mill Park and goes through downtown and all the way down Miller Avenue. After the Parade, join your neighbors at the Community Center for music, entertainment, and more!

San Ramon Art & Wind Festival in San Ramon Central Park

Memorial Day Celebration at the Main Post of the Presidio
Join veterans and the community to honor and remember those lost in service to their country. The parade begins in the Main Post (near the corner of Sheridan and Lincoln) at 10:30am led by the Pipes & Drums of the 191st Army Band. The formal program begins at 11 am at National Cemetery. It features music, a color guard, and remarks by military and civilian dignitaries, including Rev. Dr. John L. Young, a of the Presidio Interfaith Center. The ceremony ends at Noon with a 21-gun salute by the U.S. Army 5th Brigade 75th Division. Following the program, light refreshments and a spiritual service sponsored by the Interfaith Center will be held at the nearby Presidio Chapel. Organizations will also be on site with information about how to support veterans throughout the year.
